How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I have worked at QBS since November 2017. As an IT Administrator for QBS, I am the primary contact for in-house technical issue at our office and for our clients. My duties can range for fixing servers and PCs that are acting up, to helping a client get logged in to their account.
What’s your favorite part of your job? I enjoy being able to think of new ways to better help QBS grow into a more efficient company. This allows me to help make other peoples’ jobs easier, which is my ultimate end goal.
What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? The constant and rapid growth in technology is definitely a big challenge. Keeping up with this and deciding what piece of new technology would work best for our company is something that is always on my mind.
What do you believe is the most unique aspect of working at QBS? Unique is the perfect word to describe QBS. That being said, the most unique aspect would be the daily interactions at the company. Everyone acts more like a family than co-workers, this is a refreshing feeling!
QBS is once again seeing fast growth. What do you think sets it apart from other payroll companies? Customer Service is the key contributor to our fast growth, no doubt about that. Everyone here will go out of their way to help their clients with whatever their specific needs or issues might be. This has been a constant throughout our history and growth.
What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? I’m a huge history/science buff. I will read historical/scientific literature in my spare time.
Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?) My parents owned a BBQ Restaurant in Greer called “Greer BBQ and Fine Foods” for close to 20 years, up until last December when they retired the business.
