How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I began working at QBS the day before Halloween in 2017 as a Payroll Administrator. I have a wide variety of clients; from banks to healthcare organizations, that always keep payroll processing interesting.
What’s your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of working with QBS is the location. Walking out of the office and seeing the mountains always reminds me of trips my grandmother insisted we take, for the sole purpose of “looking at the leaves.”
What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? The biggest challenge that I face would have to be anticipating client needs. I think it is necessary to embrace the concept of being one step ahead, having what your clients need and getting it to them before they have to request it.
What do you believe is the most unique aspect of working at QBS? The most unique aspect of working at QBS is definitely the people. I think everyone would agree that we have a variety of unique personalities, that mesh exceptionally well.
QBS is once again seeing fast growth. What do you think sets it apart from other payroll companies? I didn’t know a great deal about PEO’s before coming to work for QBS, but I find it hard to believe that any others do things the way we do. I learned very quickly that there is a mentality here at QBS to go above and beyond for our clients, and I believe we exemplify that in every sense of the word.
What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? There are so many to choose from (sarcasm). I am a pretty ordinary guy, but one interesting fact about me is that I am a world class shuffle board player.
Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?) I am one of two boys. My brother and I have always been extremely competitive, whether it be golf or rock, paper, scissors. I enjoy hunting, cooking (as well as eating), and last, but certainly not least, I cherish lake days with all of my favorite people.
