Meet Koula Keels – Payroll Administrator

How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I have worked at QBS since October 2017. I was hired to be a payroll administrator for a new (and very large) client that came on board with us in January. I am in the beginning stages of processing payroll.

What’s your favorite part of your job? Currently my favorite part of my job is learning. I did not have payroll experience prior to working at QBS so everything is still new and exciting. I enjoy seeing how everyone’s jobs connect to what I’m doing and how vital we all are to making sure a client’s needs are met.

What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? Problem solving! I am still learning and I have so many questions on the best way to handle situations as they arise.

What do you believe is the most unique aspect of working at QBS? I believe QBS is unique because of how small it is. I thrive on personal connections and enjoy the closeness of the office environment. When you have a team you feel like you can personally connect with, I think it makes a positive difference for everyone.

QBS is once again seeing fast growth. What do you think sets it apart from other payroll companies? I have seen growth in my 4 short months of being here and I have no doubt we will continue to grow and bring on new clients. We have a dedicated team that consistently finds ways to improve and our customer service is exceptional.

What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? I love to be outdoors! Hiking, kayaking, planting flowers, tending to the garden – I find solace in spending time outside.
