Meet Lynn Baker – HR Specialist

How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role?
I started part-time in August of 2016 and began my current full-time position in Human Resources in January of 2017.  My responsibility is to assist our clients in the day to day administration of Human Resources practices as well as handle internal HR items for QBS.

What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? 
Staying well-informed of the ever-changing employment laws and regulations. We are fortunate to have developed and utilize great tools and systems that assist in keeping our clients and QBS in compliance.

Why do you believe QBS has experienced continued growth and success?
What makes QBS unique? I believe the growth and success of QBS is due to our company culture. It truly is like a family. Beyond that, Pamela and David are consistently investing in offering the best services and products to our clients that can be customized to meet their needs.

What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know?
I grew up In Indiana in a family of seven children. After marrying a wonderful man in 1997, we moved to the Florida Keys where we lived for ten years and enjoyed boating, fishing, diving and snorkeling! We still have a home in that area and enjoy spending time further south when we can.

Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?)  
I love living in the foothills of the mountains. I’m a homebody and love being outside with my two fur babies, Sweetie our long-haired chihuahua and Milo, our Italian greyhound.
