Meet Lynn Trammell – Benefits Administrator

How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I have worked at QBS for almost 2 ½ years. I am a Benefit Administrator and responsible for COBRA administration, as well as, the QBS major medical plans.

What’s your favorite part of your job? Our clients and my co-workers. I also love the fact that we are “pet friendly”.

The world of benefits is always changing. What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? I often have to shift what I am doing to handle an urgent call and/or email for one of our clients who may be having trouble with their benefits. It takes a great deal of focus to stay on track to ensure a timely response.

As QBS continues to grow, how has your role (and the organization) changed as a result? Due to the highly-customized solutions we offer to our clients, some of our processes are manual. As the organization grows, this can be a challenge as more benefit plans are added. Each individual client is different and has its own benefit rules/processes.
 
What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? I would eventually love to start my own pet rescue. I have a passion for animals, although I’m pretty sure everyone in the office already knows this. ?

Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?) When not working, I love spending time with my family. I enjoy cooking and love being outdoors.
