(TRAVELERS REST, SC) Pamela Evette, the president and chief executive officer of Quality Business Solutions, Inc. (QBS), an Upstate South Carolina-based outsourced payroll, human resources and benefits firm, will be the Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor of the State of South Carolina.  Evette, along with the incumbent governor, Henry McMaster, won the South Carolina Republican primary runoff election last Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

Governor McMaster came out ahead over millionaire businessman John Warren with 52% of the vote in Tuesday’s runoff election. Overall, the McMaster-Evette ticket fared well, winning in a crowded field of Republican primary candidates, which included current Lieutenant Governor Kevin Bryant, former Lieutenant Governor and Democratic State Senator Yancey McGill, former Director of the Department of Health and Environmental Control, Catherine Templeton, and the aforementioned Warren. McMaster’s and Evette’s conservative pro-business platform, alongside a positive message and genuine love for the state and its citizens, made the ticket very attractive to the citizens of South Carolina.

As an award-winning entrepreneur, who has taken the company she owns and operates from start-up to the Inc. 500/5000 in a few short years, Evette brings years of expertise in business growth and entrepreneurism and a history of small business advocacy and activism to her possible role as lieutenant governor. If elected, Evette will make history as the first female Republican to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina.

McMaster and Evette will continue campaigning aggressively in the months leading up to the South Carolina election, scheduled for November 6, 2018.

“Governor McMaster and I are driven by an inherent desire to create good-paying jobs, grow our state economy and protect and preserve our conservative family values on a statewide level,” said Evette.  “I am honored and humbled by the confidence my fellow citizens have shown in the governor and me and promise to use all that I have learned over the course of my many years in business to continue to fight for what matters most to South Carolinians.”
