Tell us about yourself: How long have you been at QBS? What is your role and what do you do on a daily basis? I’ve been at QBS for 10 years now. As the Risk Manager, I communicate with adjusters who handle our workers’ compensation claims. My work includes dealing with policy issues and working directly with clients on their workers’ comp needs.
What’s your favorite part of your job? I enjoy knowing that I’ve helped someone who’s been injured on the job. It’s a nice feeling when you can truly make a positive impact.
QBS has seen significant growth in the last few years – what do you think is the secret behind its continued success? We have a good team here at QBS. Everyone works really well together, and, of course, David and Pam are involved in the day to day operations.
How would you describe the company culture at QBS? Just being on a farm, it’s a very peaceful environment and co-workers are like family.
What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? Unfortunately for those affected, workers’ compensation is very busy department. It’s my job to make sure our clients get the time they deserve, and the time needed, to stay up to date on their employees.
Is there anything else you’d like to share? I have two children and two grandchildren that I adore. My husband and I are involved in the children’s ministry at our church and I love to read in my spare time.
