How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role?
I began my career with QBS in October 2005. I left the organization on two occasions over the years – when each of my children were infants. I enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom during that time, but was happy to return to such a great organization.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is assisting our clients with employment issues that arise. There is never a dull moment!
QBS was just named as one of SC’s Best Places to Work. What do you think sets QBS apart from other SC employers?
At QBS, we have great comradery amongst co-workers and a true team environment. You can tell that our team members really care about each other as co-workers and as individuals.
What is one of the biggest challenges you face as the company’s HR Specialist?
Staying abreast of the ever-changing employment laws and regulations can be a challenge. Fortunately, we have wonderful resources in place to ensure that we are always a few steps ahead – which helps QBS and our clients.
What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know?
Everyone probably knows this, but I am a HUGE Clemson Tiger fan. Go Tigers!!
Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?)
I have an 8-year-old little girl who loves playing soccer and loves horses. She is currently taking lessons to learn barrel racing. My 4-year-old little boy finished his first spring season in soccer and just started playing T-ball. My husband coaches the kids’ teams and also works full-time.
