How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I have been at QBS a little over a year. I started as Product Support Administrator and currently serve as the System Operations Integrations Manager. In this role I help ensure all new Division Partners (DPs) systems are following Vensure’s security policies. I also help to discover talent within the new DPs and act as a liaison for the Systems Operations team.
What’s your favorite part of your job? Meeting the employees of the new Division Partners and helping them with their transition into the Vensure family.
What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role? Finding talent for System Operations. As Vensure grows, our team must grow to constantly provide world class support for all Vensure clients. We have a responsibility to continue to evolve into the best team we can possibly be.
What makes QBS different/unique from other places you’ve worked? Being on a farm and in a barn! My background is in Systems from the manufacturing sector, so I enjoy the change of scenery, this environment, and my coworkers tremendously more.
What would you be doing for a career if you weren’t doing this? Something in Systems. I really enjoy trying to link all the pieces together for a final product, then work to enhance it.
What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? I enjoy cooking — from grilling to smoking diverse types of meats. I’m always looking for innovative ideas for the smoker.
Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?) I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s tailgating at Clemson or attending the different festivals around the area. I also really enjoy being outdoors — especially on a golf course.
