Meet Tammy Vernon – Payroll Administrator

How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role?
I started in August 2015 as a Payroll Administrator. In my role, I process payrolls, enter new hires, make employee changes and work to be a reliable liaison between my clients and QBS.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
I really enjoy working with fun, creative and intelligent co-workers. Also, I am only 7 minutes from home.

What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role?
The ever-changing rules and regulations in payroll mean that we are always actively working to stay up to date.

What do you think is the most unique thing about QBS?
We work in a renovated barn 🙂

What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know?
I participated on a team with the Junior Professional Putters Association (JPPA) when in middle school and still have my team jersey.

Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?)
I’ve been married to my husband, Bob, for 33 years and we have one daughter, Taylor, and one newly acquired son-in-law, Devin. We all love our rescued Boston Terrier, Chloe. I love to read and can be found most days on my screened porch with my Kindle in front of me.
