Meet Megan Finnern – Marketing Manager

How long have you worked at QBS and what is your role? I officially joined the organization as the Marketing Manager in February of 2016, but I have been working with the team since October of 2013. In my role, I am responsible to oversee all facets of marketing, communications and public relations for QBS.

What’s your favorite part of your job? It has been very exciting to see the name and brand recognition for QBS grow exponentially over the past few years. I enjoy the constant challenge of thinking of new and different ways  to reach out to prospective clients and retain our existing clients through value-added content via PR, social media, direct mail and email communications.

QBS has received a great deal of recognition in the past few years. What do you think the future holds? Working directly with Pamela and David, I can tell you that this is just the beginning. With always-shifting regulations and requirements, there is incredibly opportunity for QBS to take the burden of back-office work off the shoulders of growing businesses – and the QBS team is up to the task. I believe we will continue to grow and thrive – and help other businesses do to same.

What is one of the biggest challenges you face in your role?  Marketing and communications has a lot of moving parts from social media to corporate collateral to sponsorships. Juggling the different needs of the organization and being smart about where we spend our marketing/promotional dollars is a big responsibility for an organization that is growing as quickly as we are!

What’s one interesting fact about you that we may not know? In addition to my work-life, I am extremely passionate about getting involved in my local community. I am the 2016 Vice Chair for Pulse Young Professionals, am a member of Rebuild Upstate’s Advisory Council and Fall for Greenville’s Board of Directors – serving as the Marketing Committee Chair for both organizations. I sit on the American Red Cross of Upstate Board of Directors, volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Greenville and am an active member of the Greenville Chamber.

Anything else you’d like to share? (Family, Hobbies, etc.?) My undergraduate degree is in theatre and I LOVE the arts. I also enjoy cooking, fitness, getting outdoors and spending time with friends and family – especially my husband Mike and daughters Eileen & Della.
