FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Local leaders work to raise awareness and funds in the fight to end breast cancer
Travelers Rest, SC – Quality Business Solutions, Inc. (QBS), a leader in outsourced payroll, human resources and employee benefits, is proud to support QBS Business Consultant Jeff McLaughlin in his efforts to raise awareness and funds in the fight to end breast cancer.
In its sixth year in Greenville, McLaughlin will join 22 other men to fight breast cancer with the American Cancer Society through participation in the Upstate Real Men Wear Pink campaign, sponsored by United Community Bank. Throughout October, Real Men Wear Pink participants will encourage community members to take action in the fight against breast cancer.
“For over twenty years, QBS has always made giving back to the local community and its residents a priority,” said David Evette, president of QBS. “We are proud to support Jeff in his efforts to help those who are battling breast cancer, fund ongoing research, and promote awareness which can ultimately save lives when this disease is caught early.”
In a previous statement from Mary Gwen Kistler, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society, she shared: “With Covid-19 still affecting us, the importance of what our Real Men do is even more crucial. Our research is still at risk and the funds that these men will raise in the campaign helps us to save lives from breast cancer through early detection, prevention, and patient support services.”
As part of his Real Men Wear Pink efforts, McLaughlin will be hosting an Evening with Marvin Evatt at Brewery 85 on Tuesday, October 19th starting at 7:00pm. Admission will be free with a cash bar and contributions to his campaign can be made at the event using a QR coded donation card.
