(TRAVELERS REST, S.C.) Quality Business Solutions (QBS) founder and CEO, Pamela Evette, was recently named one of Enterprising Women magazine’s 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year, an annual tribute to the world’s top female entrepreneurs, the awards. Headquartered in Travelers Rest, S.C. with a growing national client base, QBS is a woman-owned outsourced solution for payroll, human resources and benefits. Honorees will be recognized at the 14th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration & Conference, Sunday, February 28 to Tuesday, March 1 at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida.
The annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. Nominations are submitted from all over the world, and nominees are judged based on demonstrated rapid business growth and success, a history of mentoring or actively supporting other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship and community involvement and leadership. Judging is conducted in conjunction with an advisory board representing a broad range of women and business organizations, including Enterprising Women, the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), among others.
“The recipients of the 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year Award represent an amazing group of women entrepreneurs from across the United States and as far away as China, Egypt, South Africa, Uganda, the United Kingdom and Portugal. We could not be more proud to recognize their accomplishments as CEOs of fast-growth companies, community leaders, and role models and mentors to other women and girls. We look forward to shining the spotlight on them at our 14th annual awards event in late February,” Monica Smiley, Publisher/CEO of Enterprising Women, said.
Founded in 2000, QBS has experienced revenue growth of nearly $300 million over the past three years, making it a nearly $1 billion dollar enterprise. Award winners were recognized in seven categories, based on their respective companies’ annual revenues. Evette topped the list of four executives honored in the $100 million+ category, which represents the largest companies on the list.
This award extends QBS’ and Evette’s growing list of international, national and local accolades. In the past two years, Evette has been honored as one of Inc. Magazine’s Impact 50 – a list of the nation’s top female business leaders based on growth – and the company has been listed on the Inc. 5000 and recognized as one of the top performing companies and best places to work in its home state of South Carolina.
“While I am humbled by the stream of awards QBS has won over the past year, this impressive international award is especially significant for me” said Evette. “Entrepreneurism is the heart of all business, and I am proud that our company, whose rapid growth is built on the growth and success of our clients, can serve as a model for other businesses around the world. I encourage women entrepreneurs and all business leaders to find their niche, provide services or goods that fill a market void, grow at a manageable pace and focus on customer needs; success will surely follow.”
